I've been invited to accompany friend Craig Whittaker to perform at the Lighthouse Coffee House open mic night. New venue for me and Craig says it's a great place to perform. I invite my friends from the Lynchburg and Richmond areas to drop by and support Craig and yours truly for an evening of live music and fellowship.
Plans are to get back to performing more this fall and Sister's is always a great venue. Gwynne and Red have a cozy place to perform and the food and beverages are always top notch.
I hate to make promises I can't keep but I am desperately hoping it works out so I can have the new CD in hand by the time these shows come around. Time and money, time and money . . . . I'm trying !
Plan on coming out for an evening of acoustic music. A brisk Fall night, the smell of coffee and the company of friends and good music - what more could you ask ?
I've been invited back to the fall revival on Wednesday night to provide the music again this year and I'm looking forward to worshiping with these folks again. We had a great time last year and the country is absolutely beautiful, the hospitality wonderful and I invite you down to celebrate with us and to enjoy an old fashioned country church revival service !
If you're coming from the Pearisburg side, take route 42/100 (Pulaski Giles Turnpike) from Pearisburg toward Bland, then route 42 (Walker's Creek Valley Road) to State Route 670 (Flat Hollow Road to Mt. Zion Road) and the church is at the Giles/Bland county line;
If coming from I-77 from Princeton/Bluefield -
Either the South Gap exit on I-77 and take SR606 (Wilderness Road) to 42 East (East Bluegrass Trail) or from the Bland exit on I-77 take Rt. 42 East (East Bluegrass Trail) to VA Rt. 738 (Byrnes Chapel Road) to Mt. Zion Road (SR670).
